Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East 2nd Season-First Reaction

I seen the first season of the show and I enjoyed it, especially since there wasn't much to watch at that time. The second season is continuation so there is not much difference between the two. Overall the the story is about the reincarnation of eight warriors who are brothers. The end goal is to reunite the eight for the church...or something.

Again the character's design are the same as the first season. Drawn beautifully whether male or female. Really why does everyone have pretty big eyes that just shine. And the scenery is also beautiful,  really trying to show the gorgeousness of Japan. Really the animation of the show is just fantastic, but sometimes the action scene or movements can be a bit stiff, as well as their voices. This show is mostly on the visuals with few action scene.

Personally I am not a fan of the voice actors/actresses. Especially the kids voice, especially in this episode. First, main character's voice, the boy whose name is Shino. Is he trying to sing or rap in the first episode of second season. Also the song where the kid is bouncing a ball threw me off, I was expecting a more softer tone. Overall, children's voice are not towards my liking. However, the voice actors and actresses didn't change, which is good. Don't you hate it when you got use to the voice and all of a sudden you have to adjust your ears to the new one...(Poke'mon)

This show is pretty fast paced from the beginning. Especially if its your first time watching the series there may be confusing parts. However, it does grab your attention. Start to wonder who and why these people were killed. Not overly suspenseful but has enough for you to wonder about the next episode. But the first episode I felt kind of rushed from showing two new characters. In the end, this episode was fun to watch but can be boring for some people who are more action packed. Hardcore fans, may have a few laughs and joy with the new addition of characters.

Warning, again, this show may have some gay moments. SO...stay away if you are highly against any homosexual hints. BUT the episode does fill in the missing spots found in the first season, so this will be a good watch for people who watched before or interested in the supernatural.
